The studied area is located in N-Sonqor and in the Sanandaj-Sirjan zone. Field relationships and petrographic evidence show that volcanic rocks of the north of Bashirabad comprise of trachydacite to trachyandesite (and altered basaltic trachyandesite) and in the south of this area, it consists of andesite to trachyte. Their texture is mainly porphyry. Geochemical data {total abundance of (Na2O+K2O), enrichment of large lithophile ion elements and rare light earth elements) indicate that these rocks belong to the alkaline series. Spider diagrams show enrichment in LREE and depletion HREE, and parallel patterns in all volcanic samples confirm their common origin. According to modeling magmatic processes, fractional crystallization, assimilation and crustal contamination have played an important role in the magma forming the studied rocks. The discriminating diagrams the tectonic setting the Bashirabad volcanic rocks indicate their subduction-related volcanic arc that was formed in an active continental margin environment with local tensions.

The study area is located in the Ardabil province and in the north of Meshkin shahr town. A large part of the areais formed of Eocene igneous rocks. These rocks include basaltic andesite, basalt, tephrite and occasionally analcimite. They are silica saturated or relatively saturated. According to tectonomagmatic diagrams, the original setting of the parental magma was a volcanic arc and subduction zone. The negative anomalies of Nb, the high ratio of LILE/HFSE, the high mounts of Al2O3& P2O5, the low titanium contents, and the degree of partial melting of the metasomatized upper mantle, strengthens the subduction related processes for the formation of the primary magma (alkali olivine basalt). Petrographic evidences suggest that the primary magma is mixed with crustal materials. The chemical composition of rocks, according to geochemical diagrams, is shoshonitic. These rocks may have been formed by the subduction of the oceanic crust of Neoteties during the Mesozoic and early Cenozoic periods. Releasing fluids exerted from the subducting slab, metasomatism of the lithospheric mantle and subsequently the appropriate conditions for melting of the metasomatized mantle, all led to the formation of potassic magmatism and finally, generation of magma with a shoshonitic nature found its way to the surface under the influence of an extension phase and complex fault systems.

The studied Roudbar and Abhar plutons are located in the western Alborz zone and Taroum subzone. These intrusive bodies show metaluminous and shoshonitic nature and they cut the Eocene volcanic and sedimentary rocks. In the studied plutons, monzonite and quartz monzonite terms are dominant. According to geochemistry, these plutons were crystallized from non-primary magma, and have been experienced fractional crystallization. In the primary mantle normalized spider diagrams and chondrite normalized REE diagrams, studied samples show clear enrichment in the LREE and LILE and depletion in the HFSE. The primary magma originated from 1-5% partial melting of phlogopite bearing lithospheric mantle with spinel lherzolite composition that metasomatized by subduction agents. According to U-Pb SHRIMP dating, these plutons were intruded during 37.8 to 38.9 Ma in the late Eocene and in a post-collision tectonic setting.
