The Stratigraphical position of Members I and 6 of Khoshyeilagh Formation based on conodont fauna and introducing of three conodont zones from Member 6

Abstract
Khoshyeilagh Formation is one of the fossiliferous units of Eastern Alborz which its age was mentioned. variously, from Emsian to Tournaisian. Most of the debate is about the lowest and highest members of the formation. The presence of Eognathodus bipennatus in the conodont fauna of the Khoshyeilagh Formation indicates a Middle Devonian age for the Member I of the formation.
The co-occurrance of polygnathus delicatus with Bispathodus aculeatus aculeatus indicate a costatus Zone age for the middle part of Member 6 of the formation. The presence of Dollymae boukearti in the upper part of the Member 6 indicates dollymae boukearti Zone. An anchoralis- latus Zone refers to the top of the formation. This is based on the presence of Scaliognathus anchoralis anchoralis subspecies.
