The Mohammadabad deposit is located in vicinity of Delijan in central province and in terms of structural zones of Iran,in the Uremia dokhtar zone. Stratabound Fe-Ce mineralization in brecciated, vein, massive, layered and laminar forms, consists ore minerals such as hematite, pyrite, chalcopyrite and magnetite ,is seen in lower Eocene volcano sedimentary unites. Amounts , ratios and diagrams of trace elements and rare earth elements show hydrothermal mineralization with the predominance of magmatic fluids. The values of δ34SCDT of sulfide minerals (-2.76 to1.51 ‰) and suggest the magmatic source for sulfur or mineralizing fluid with magmatic sulfur. The values of δ13C (mean 3.61 ‰), δ18O(mean12.946‰) related diagrams show a magmatic source for carbon, hydrothermal genesis for calcite and a mineralizing fluid dominantly magmatic source. above evidences,وthe location of the region in tensile tectonic regime in western edge position of uremia dokhtar magmatic arc during the Eocene and presence of magmatic mass in the depths of the region with high potential for iron and copper mineralization , sulfur supply ,also has played role of a heat engine to circulating and transfer of mineralizing fluids to the sea bed. Offers exhalative-hydrothermal processes model for deposit genesis in Eocene volcano sedimentary units

Sarkuh porphyry copper deposit is located 180 km west of Kerman province, 6 km southwest of Sarcheshmeh porphyry copper mine in the northeast of Pariz city. Considering geological divisions, it is a part of Urumieh-Dokhtar magmatic arc. The exposed rocks in this area are mainly composed of volcanic units, tuffs, andesite and basaltic andesite. Also intrusive units include granite to granodiorite, and to a lesser extend quartz diorite rocks. Major alterations of the deposit include potassic, phyllic, argillic and propylitic, as well as intermediate alterations such as potassic - argillic and potassic - phyllic. The purpose of this research is to study the chemical features of biotite and chlorite in order to investigate the physicochemical attributes of porphyry system during magmatic to hydrothermal transition in the patassic alteration. Based on the temperatures of reequilibrated biotite, at the time of magmatic to hydrothermal transition, the temperature ranged from 343 to 397°C. Also high magnesium nature of biotites, and their plotting in the boundary of magnetite-hematite (HM) and nickel-nickel oxide (NNO) buffering lines, as well as presence of magnetite with hematite rims indicate previlling of the high oxygen fugacity during potassic alteration.

The Kahak copper deposit occurs in the Eocene volcano-sedimentary sequence of Qom region, Urumieh-Dokhtar magmatic arc. The oldest rock unit in this sequence is a crystal tuff, overlain by tuff, andesite, sandstone, conglomerate, and limestone. Host rocks to the Kahak deposit include andesite and tuff, and the geometry of mineralization is stratabound. Mineralographical studies show that the ore minerals are pyrite, chalcopyrite, chalcocite, native copper, bornite, galena, covellite, digenite, and malachite accompanied by magnetite, and hematite. Based on mineralogical studies, two types of alteration are recognized in the volcanic rocks of the area, general alteration, and ore mineral alteration. The propylitic alteration is an indication of general alteration. The main alteration types in the mineralized zone of the deposit include carbonatization, silicification, chloritization, epidotization, and zeolitic. Dissemination, open space filling, vein-veinlet, pseudo-lamination, and replacement are the major textures and structures of the ore minerals at Kahak. Two major stages are distinguished for mineralization at the Kahak deposit. The first stage is volcanism and pyrite formation in the host rocks (andesite and tuff), producing reduction state. The second stage involves diagenesis and entering Cu-rich oxidant fluids replacing Cu for Fe in the pyrite and forming Cu-sulfides and hematite and mineralization. The Kahak copper deposit shows high similarities in geometry, host rock, mineralogy, texture and structure and genetic model with the Manto-type copper deposits worldwide.

The Raziabad porphyry copper deposit is located 30 km north of the city of Jiroft, in southeastern part of the Urumieh-Dokhtar magmatic arc, southeastern Iran. Several intrusive bodies including diorite, gabbro, granodiorite and quartz-diorite associated with groups of dikes with similar composition as well as dissimilar composition with the intrusions, intruded into the Raziabad porphyry system. The porphyry copper mineralization is associated with the granodiorite which intruded into dioritic, gabbroic and volcano-pyroclastic rocks. The magmatic activities continued after mineralization and lead to the emplacement of the quartz-diorite as well as intrusion of two groups of micro-granitic and andesi-basaltic dikes cutting the ore body, causing geometric complexity of the ore body. The alteration zones include potassic and magnetite-rich silicification zones, relatively restricted calcic zone, and propylitic zone. Phyllic alteration with restricted expansion and weak intensity overprinted on potassic alteration. The hypogene mineralization has occurred as disseminated, stockwork and veinlet styles closely associated with the potassic alteration zone. The main ore minerals are chalcopyrite+ magnetite+ pyrite with minor molybdenite, pyrrhotite, galena and sphalerite. The oxidation and enriched supergene zones are variable and restricted to the shallow levels. Hydrothermal activity in Raziabad deposit is classified into four stages on the basis of hydrothermal mineral assemblage and veinlet relation. The stages include: 1) calcium silicate-magnetite-quartz stage; 2) potassium silicate-sulfide-quartz-magnetite; 3) sericite-quartz-pyrite stage; 4) chlorite-epidote-calcite-pyrite±actinolite.

The NNW-SSE striking Bidhand strike-slip fault system cut and displaced the Cenozoic volcanic and sedimentary rocks of the Urumieh-Dokhtar magmatic arc in south Qom. Structural evidences show that at least 16 km horizontal displacement in the Eocene volcanics has been caused due to dextral strike-slip movement along this fault. The compressional and extensional terminations were developed at the western block and not observed at the eastern one. The reverse and thrust faults associated with the drag folds were generated in the northwestern compressional termination and gabbroic sills were intruded in the southwestern extensional termination. Younger syenitic and granitic intrusive (Miocene) were intruded in the vacant space of the northern compressional termination and releasing zones along the central straight segments of the Bidhand fault. Gabbroic sills in the extensional termination at the south-western area of the Bidhand fault were folded and thrusted towards northeast due to the later deformational events.
