Such indicators as having a slightly- eroded cone, presence of many thermal springs, eruption activity in Late Quaternary, as well as the progression of the generating tectonic regime, all, attest this claim. The intensity of eruption is anticipated to be about 3-5 in Volcanic Explosivity Index (VEI) scale. As a result, such hazards as tephra (ash), nuee ardente, lava flow and lahar may pose problems. Thus, this study deals with zoning these hazards. For zoning, Digital Elevation Models (DEM= 30 m), Landsat ESTM+ pictures as well as Arc GIS, ENVI and VORIS softwares were employed, and  for construction of nuee ardente- hazard zoning, Malin and Sheridan (1982) model were used. Atmospheric data for the spread of ashes were taken for NCER/NCAR center. Lava flow routes were determined using a simulation model which is based on the assumption that topography plays the main role on the route of flow, and lavas flow from a point to the nearby one if their differences are positive. In order to construct lahar hazard map, locations of main troughlines on the cone and around the volcano were determined and lahar invasion areas were determined using a proper buffer zone. Based on this study, volcanic ash plume will form at the east of volcano and a number of towns and villages would be threatened. Lava flows and nuee ardentes would threaten some villages around the cone. Lahars would flow via throughlines on the cone and arrive the main vallies around it (Hezar and Delichai). They would threaten many residential areas in their route. The prepared hazard maps are useful and necessary for management of these hazards.}, keywords = {Damavand,Lava hazard,Tephra hazard,Nuee ardente hazard,Lahar hazard}, title_fa = {پهنه‌بندی خطر تفرا، گدازه، ابر سوزان و لاهار ناشی از فوران احتمالی آتشفشان دماوند}, abstract_fa = {دماوند یکی از مستعدترین آتشفشان‌های ایران برای فوران در آینده است. شواهدی نظیر میزان سرپا بودن مخروط (نبود فرسایش شدید آن)، وجود چشمه‌های آبگرم فراوان، کوتاه بودن فاصله زمانی از آخرین فوران و حضور شرایط زمین‌ساختی مناسب، همگی، نشانگر استعداد فوران آن در آینده می‌باشند. شدت فوران آن احتمالاً در حد 3- 5 در مقیاس VEI خواهد بود. در اثر آن، خاکسترها، ابرهای سوزان، جریان‌های گدازه و لاهارهای تولیدی مشکلاتی را به وجود خواهندآورد. بنابراین، هدف این مطالعه پهنه‌بندی این خطرها است. برای پهنه‌بندی این تهدیدها از مدل‌های ارتفاعی رقومی (DEM)، تصاویر ماهواره‌ای و نرم‌افزارهای Arc GIS ،ENVI و VORIS استفاده شد. برای تهیه نقشه گسترش خاکسترهای آن مدل فرارفت - انتشار، و برای تهیه نقشه پراکنش ابر سوزان مدل مالین و شریدان مورد استفاده قرار گرفتند. در ارتباط با گسترش خاکسترهای آن، اطلاعات جوی مورد نیاز از داده‌های پایگاه NCEP/NCAR اخذ شدند. همچنین، مدل شبیه‌سازی جریان برای تهیه نقشه گسترش جریان گدازه به‌کار گرفته شد. برای تهیه نقشه محدوده‌های گسترش لاهار، با استفاده از DEM منطقه، موقعیت آبراهه‌های اصلی سطح مخروط و دره‌های اطراف مشخص شد و با در نظر گرفتن بافر زون 50 متری، محدوده گسترش لاهار تهیه گردید. براساس این مطالعه، پلوم خاکسترهای آتشفشانی به سمت خاور گسترش می‌یابد و چند آبادی را تهدید می‌کند. گدازه‌ها و ابرهای سوزان نیز برخی از روستاهای اطراف مخروط را تهدید می‌کنند. لاهارهای حاصل از این آتشفشان، ضمن حرکت در خط‌القعرهای موجود در سطح مخروط، وارد دره‌های اصلی منطقه (هزار و دلیچای) می‌شوند و در مسیر خود آبادی‌های متعددی را تهدید خواهند کرد. نقشه‌های ارائه شده راهنمای مفید و ضروری برای مدیریت این خطرها می‌باشند.}, keywords_fa = {Damavand,Lava hazard,Tephra hazard,Nuee ardente hazard,Lahar hazard}, url = {http://www.gsjournal.ir/article_154396.html}, eprint = {http://www.gsjournal.ir/article_154396_fa81372ad9099605ca0ab26c4692ff68.pdf} }
