It has long-term ill effects on human health. Arsenic-contaminated water resources have been reported from many parts of the world and Iran, particularly from the Kurdistan province in the west of the country. The aim of this study is to identify the source of arsenic and mechanisms of its release into groundwater resources of the Chahardoli plain aquifers. Groundwater resources in this plain supply much of the water needs for drinking, agriculture and industry. Therefore, 31 water samples were collected from the plain aquifer and chemically analyzed for major and minor ions in the Hydrology Laboratory of Earth Sciences Department of the Tabriz University. Also, the trace elements were analyzed in the Kurdistan Waste Water Organization Laboratory. The results show high arsenic concentrations in the groundwater of the area. The highest arsenic concentration (270 µg/L) is related to a well located in the northwest part of the area which supplies water for agricultural purposes of Delbaran sector. According to the results obtained from multi-variable and graphical methods, there is a meaningful correlation between arsenic and major ions such as Na and K as well as silica, indicating that the source of arsenic is from volcanic rocks. It is therefore a geogenic rather than an anthropogenic phenomenon. The mechanism of arsenic releases into the water can be related to competitive adsorption of dissolved SiO2 in adsorption sites such as oxides of iron, aluminium and manganese.}, keywords = {Groundwater,ARSENIC,Contamination,Chahardoli Plain,Kurdistan}, title_fa = {منشا آرسنیک و چگونگی آزاد‌سازی آن در منابع آب زیرزمینی دشت چهاردولی، استان کردستان}, abstract_fa = {آرسنیک به عنوان یکی از سمی‌ترین و خطرناک‌ترین مواد محلول در آب‌های طبیعی شناخته شده است و در درازمدت اثرات سوء بر سلامت انسان دارد. آلودگی منابع آب به آرسنیک در بیشتر نقاط جهان و ایران به‌ویژه در استان کردستان در باختر کشور گزارش شده است. هدف از انجام این پژوهش تعیین منشأ آرسنیک و چگونگی آزاد‌سازی آن در منابع آب زیرزمینی دشت چهاردولی است. در این دشت منابع آب زیرزمینی بیشتر آب مورد نیاز برای آشامیدن، کشاورزی و صنعت را تأمین می‌کند. بدین منظور از  منابع آب زیرزمینی این دشت 31 نمونه آب گردآوری و یون‌های اصلی و فرعی آن در آزمایشگاه هیدرولوژی گروه علوم زمین دانشگاه تبریز و عناصر کمیاب در آزمایشگاه آب فاضلاب کردستان تجزیه شد. نتایج حاصل، نشان از غلظت بالای آرسنیک در آب منطقه دارد؛ به‌گونه‎ای که بالاترین غلظت به مقدار270 میکروگرم بر لیتر مربوط به چاه کشاورزی در شمال باختری منطقه و منابع آب بخش دلبران است. بر پایه نتایج به دست آمده از روش‌های چند‌متغیره و گرافیکی و با توجه به همبستگی معنی‌دار آرسنیک با کاتیون‌‌های اصلی (سدیم، پتاسیم) و سیلیس می‌توان منشأ آرسنیک را زمین‌زاد و از سنگ‌های آتشفشانی دانست که آلاینده‌های شهری و عوامل انسانی تأثیر چندانی در آن نداشته است. چگونگی آزاد‌سازی آرسنیک را می‌توان به جذب رقابتی سیلیس محلول با آرسنیک برای جذب شدن در مکان‌های جذب مانند اکسید‌های آهن، آلومینیم و منگنز نسبت داد.}, keywords_fa = {آب‌های زیرزمینی,آرسنیک,آلودگی,دشت چهاردولی,کردستان}, url = {http://www.gsjournal.ir/article_40917.html}, eprint = {http://www.gsjournal.ir/article_40917_100c0db9d093987b68a7a0ffa839dc7e.pdf} }
