Mineralization in Masjeddaghi is associated with an Eocene dioritic subvolcanic pluton intruded into older volcanic and sedimentary rocks. The Masjeddaghi intrusive body is high-K, calc alkaline, and meta-aluminous, and formed in an island arc subduction/collision setting. Hydrothermal alteration is distinguished by a potassic core marked by secondary biotite and K-spar that grades outward into a chlorite-rich propylitic halo. The ore minerals include chalcopyrite, associated with minor chalcocite, bornite, tetrahedrite, and trace molybdenite. Pyrite and magnetite are common associates. The Masjeddaghi deposit is elliptical in plan view, 500 x 400 m in diameters, and mineralization has been traced for several hundred meters from surface exposures. 40Ar/39Ar geochronology on secondary biotite from potassic alteration zone indicates that mineralization, and by corollary, the emplacement and crystallization of the Masjeddaghi porphyritic intrusion, occurred in 54.07 ± 0.53 Ma. The Masjeddaghi ore deposit shows geology, mineralization and alteration characteristics comparable to those typical of island arc type porphyry Cu-Au systems. Masjeddaghi ore deposit shows geology, mineralization and alteration characteristics similar to island arc porphyry type systems.}, keywords = {Porphyry Cu-Au,Masjeddaghi,Island Arc,Eocene,Azerbaijan,Iran}, title_fa = {کانسار مس- طلای پورفیری ائوسن مسجدداغی، شمال باختر ایران، نمونه ای از کانسارهای پورفیری نوع جزایر کمانی}, abstract_fa = {کانسار مسجدداغی در جنوب باختر کمربند ماگمایی ارسباران در شمال باختر ایران و در حاشیه جنوبی پهنه قفقاز کوچک جای گرفته است. این کانسار در یک توده میزبان دیوریتی نیمه‌ ژرف مربوط به ائوسن تشکیل شده که در مجموعهای از سنگهای آتشفشانی و تخریبی- رسوبی کهنتر نفوذ کرده است. ویژگیهای ژئوشیمیایی توده نفوذی مسجدداغی، آن را دارای خصلت کالکآلکالن با پتاسیم بالا و متاآلومینوس معرفی میکند که در یک محیط فرورانشی جزایر کمانی و همزمان با برخورد جایگزین شده است. دگرسانیهای شاخص آن از نوع پتاسیک  با کانی‌های شاخص بیوتیت و ارتوز ثانویه در مرکز   کانسار پورفیری است که به وسیله دگرسانی پروپیلیتیک با کانی شاخص کلریت دربر گرفته شده است. کانی‎های فلزی کانسنگ‎ساز را بیشتر کالکوپیریت همراه با مقادیر فرعی کانههای بورنیت، کالکوسیت اولیه و تتراهدریت به همراه مقدار کمی مولیبدنیت تشکیل میدهد. پیریت و مگنتیت کانه های همراه و متداول هستند. این کانسار در نمای پلان به‎صورت یک توده بیضوی ‌شکل با قطر بزرگ 500 متر و قطر کوچک 400 متر بوده و آثار کانیسازی تا ژرفای افزون بر 700 متر در گمانههاردیابی شده است.. سنسنجی40Ar/39Ar  روی بیوتیتهای ثانویه در  منطقه دگرسانی پتاسیک، زمان تشکیل کانسار و از این رو جایگزینی و تبلور توده دیوریت پورفیری مادر را 53/0 ± 07/54 (ائوسن آغازی) نشان میدهد. این کانسار از این نظر بسیار متفاوت با کانسارهای شناخته شده در پهنه ارسباران است که بیشتر در میوسن میانی و در جایگاه کمان ماگمایی قاره ای و همزمان با برخوردی تشکیل شدهاند. کانسار مسجدداغی، از نظر جایگاه زمین شناسی، دگرسانی و کانی سازی، قابل مقایسه با سیستم های مس-طلای پورفیری جزایر کمانی است.}, keywords_fa = {مس- طلای پورفیری,مسجدداغی,جزایر کمانی,ائوسن,آذربایجان,ایران}, url = {http://www.gsjournal.ir/article_50166.html}, eprint = {http://www.gsjournal.ir/article_50166_b8bc884fc34b5f244b91175b82c4d0ff.pdf} }
