چکیده

مقایسه رویدادهای کوهزایی و خشکی‏ زایی ایران با رویدادهایی که در بخش‏ های گوناگون دنیا و در محیط‏ های زمین‏ ساختی متفاوت شناسایی شده اند، سبب نوعی سردرگمی در ادبیات زمین ‏شناسی ایران شده است. ما پس از مرور کوتاه ماهیت فرایندهای کوهزایی شناخته شده در دنیا و بررسی مسئله‏ های در پیوند با مقایسه‏ های یادشده در بالا، تلاش کرده‏ایم با توجه به تاریخچه زمین‏ ساختی بخش ‏های گوناگون ایران، به صورت سامانه ‏ای به توصیف و نام گذاری رویدادهای مهم کوهزایی و خشکی ‏زایی کشور بپردازیم. بیشتر رویدادهای کوهزایی پرکامبرین ایران به علت ناشناس بودن سن و جایگاه زمین‏ ساختی واحدهای سنگی نسبت داده شده به پرکامبرین، با ابهام همراه هستند. پالیوزوییک ایران بیشتر با رویدادهای خشکی‏ زایی همراه بوده است و تنها نشانه رویداد کوهزایی واقعی به کربنیفر پسین در شمال ایران باز می‏ گردد. رویدادهای مهم کوهزایی مزوزوییک و سنوزوییک چهره امروزی زمین‏ ساختی ایران را رقم زده ‏اند. زمین‌درز تتیس‏ کهن در شمال و مرکز ایران در کوهزاد گرگانی، شکل‏ گیری لبه فعال ایران مرکزی (سنندج-سیرجان) در کوهزاد اکباتانی، فرارانش افیولیت‏ های ایران مرکزی و زاگرس در رویدادهای کرتاسه پسین و برخورد صفحه ایران با کُنده هلمند در کوهزایی سیستانی روی دادند. شکل‏ گیری کوهزادهای زاگرس و البرز به ترتیب از الیگوسن و میوسن آغاز شد و دگرریختی ناشی از کوتاه‏ شدگی آنها تا به امروز ادامه دارد.
