چکیده

برش شیشتو در شمال طبس و در مجاورت روستای شیشتو قرار دارد. توالی‌های ژیلین و آسلین سازند زلدو به ستبرای 60 متر به پنج واحد سنگی تقسیم شده‌اند که  شامل ماسه‌سنگ، ماسه‌سنگ آهکی، شیل، سنگ آهک ماسه‌ای و سنگ آهک فوزولینیددار می‌باشد. مرز پایینی نهشته‌ها با ناپیوستگی فرسایشی بر روی نهشته‌های  سازند آبشنی قرار گرفته است. مرز زبرین این نهشته‌ها با سازند تیغ معدنو به سن ساکمارین و پیوسته است. اجتماعی از فوزولیندهای ژیلین و آسلین در برش مورد مطالعه مانند Ruzhenzevites-Rauserites-Triticites  که در بالاترین بخش سنگ نهشته‌های آشکوب ژیلین نواحی دارواز، فرگانا، اورال جنوبی، حوضه دونتسک و کارنیک آلپ، انارک، البرز مرکزی و زون سنندج- سیرجان شناسایی شده و همچنین گونه‌های مختلف Sphaeroschwagerina,  Pseudoschwagerina و Likharevites که گویای سن آسلین هستند، نشان‌دهنده پیوستگی مرز کربنیفر-پرمین در برش مورد مطالعه و هم‌ارزی قابل مقایسه با سایر پهنه‌های ساختاری–رسوبی ایران از جمله ایران مرکزی (سازند زلدو)، البرز (گروه دورود) و زون سنندج- سیرجان (سازند وژنان) می‌باشد. هم‌ارزی یاد شده حکایت از پیشروی  دریا در پهنه‌های ساختاری- رسوبی مختلف ایران در اواخر کربنیفر و ابتدای  پرمین دارد.
