Abstract
Conodonts of the Shishtu Formation in its Type-Section have been studied, in order to establish the Devonian-Carboniferous Boundary. The most recent studies introduced the boundary in an interval with 12 meters thickness. The present study reduced this interval to 4 meters thickness.
The succession displays good fauna of conodonts in the Early Carboniferous (Tournaisian). Two conodont zones have been introduced from Tournaisian strata. Three conodont genera introduced for the first time from Ozbak-Kuh Mountains.
