Evaluation of causes and dimensions of "Chellow's" Landslide (Ardal- chahar- mahal and Bakhtiary province)

Abstract
In this paper the "Chellow" landslide occurred in 03/03/1994 has been studied from the geology and geotechnical points of view. The collected geology, geomorphology and geotechnical data in combination with slope stability theories were used in order to simulate the stages and shape of failure surfaces. The provided geotechnical information made it possible to evaluate the causes of landslide and to calculate the volume and weight of failed masses.
