چکیده

توده‌های نمکی با سن الیگوسن در فلات گرمسار و ایوانکی، جنوب البرز مرکزی روی رسوبات کواترنری بیرون‌ریزی داشته و یک نمک‌شار را شکل داده است. این نمک‌شار انگشت باز ابعاد 17×24 کیلومتر  دارد که از نظر ابعاد یک نمک‌شار قاره‌ای بی‌همتا در جهان است. این لایه خمیری همچنین به عنوان یک سطح جداکننده روی سبک‌های ساختمانی منطقه تأثیر گذار بوده است. با وجود این، کارهای سامان‌مند کمی روی آن صورت گرفته است. به منظور بررسی سبک‌های ساختمانی منطقه که تحت تأثیر لایه جداکننده خمیری هستند و نواحی کناری که تحت تأثیر سطح جداکننده اصطکاکی هستند، یک سری مدل ساخته شد که درون جعبه ماسه مقیاس‌بندی شده بودند. این مدل‌ها پیش‌روی تغییر شکل نازک پوسته را روی دو سطح جداکننده خمیری و اصطکاکی که دو عضو پایانی از سطح جداکننده هستند شبیه‌سازی کردند. نتایج مدل‌ها نشان می‌دهند که بالای سطح جداکننده خمیری تغییر شکل سریع‌تر و بیشتر از سطح جداکننده اصطکاکی پیش‌روی می‌کند که این قابل مقایسه با طبیعت است. به گونه‌ای که هر جا  سطح جداکننده از نوع خمیری باشد، پهن‌تر از ناحیه کناری خود با سطح جداکننده اصطکاکی است. مانند مدل‌ها، به سوی شمال در منطقه با سطح جداکننده اصطکاکی، از گسل شمال تهران به عنوان گسل پیشانی به گسل مشا و کندوان در هسته رشته‌کوه البرز، شیب گسل‌ها افزایش می‌یابد و تنها گسل‌های هم آغوش با تمایل به سمت جلو شکل می‌گیرند، در صورتی که بالای سطح جداکننده خمیری شیب گسل‌ها الگوی مشخصی ندارد و هر دو گسل‌های هم‌آغوش به سمت پیش‌بوم و فرابوم  گسترش می‌یابند.
