چکیده

شمال خاوری ایران از رشته کوه‌های کپه‌داغ تا البرز مرکزی یکی از مناطق فعال از دیدگاه لرزه‌خیزی است. وجود شهرهای بزرگ با پیشینه تاریخی طولانی موجب شده است که داده‌های نسبتاً خوبی از تاریخچه فعالیت لرزه‌ای آن در دسترس باشد. گسل‌های متعددی در این منطقه وجود دارند که برخی از آنها مورد مطالعات زمین‌شناختی قرار گرفته‌اند و توان لرزه‌زایی آنها مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفته است، اما در مورد بسیاری از آنها هنوز داده‌های کافی وجود ندارد. اندازه‌گیری‌های ژئودتیک اخیر این امکان را به‌وجود آورده است که نرخ حرکات راستالغز و کوتاه‌شدگی در بخش‌های مختلف منطقه مورد بررسی قرار گیرد و نمای کلی از آن ارائه نموده‌است. این پژوهش به قابلیت کاربرد این داده‌ها در ارزیابی خطر زمین‌لرزه می‌پردازد. بدین منظور توان لرزه‌زایی گسل که بر اساس داده‌های سن‌یابی و یا اندازه‌گیری‌های ژئودتیک محاسبه شده است با رویداد واقعی زمین‌لرزه‌های دستگاهی و تاریخی منطقه مقایسه شده است. با توجه به گستردگی منطقه و عدم وجود داده‌های کافی این مقایسه در مورد یکایک گسل‌ها امکان‌پذیر نیست از این رو شمال خاور کشور به 5 زون ساختاری تقسیم شده است. مقایسه گشتاور لرزه‌ای رها شده در این زون‌ها با میزان تجمعی سالانه آن حاکی از همخوانی نسبتاً خوب این داده‌ها دارد و از این رو می‌توان با اطمینان بیشتر از داده‌های زمین‌شناسی و ژئودتیک در بر آورد خطر زمین‌لرزه در این بخش از کشور استفاده نمود.
