چکیده

گندم بریان نوعی سرتخت (Messa) پوشیده از روانه‌های گدازه‌ای بسیار تیره رنگ است که به عنوان بخشی از فعالیت‌آتشفشانی زمان کواترنری ایران شناخته می‌شود. این روانه‌ها که از نوع آلکالی الیوین بازالت‌های سالم یا با دگرسانی کم هستند حدود 480 کیلومتر مربع از بخش جنوبی کویر لوت در شمال خاور کرمان را در برمی‌گیرند. بافت کلی جریان‌های بازالتی پورفیری تا گلومروپورفیری با زمینه اینترسرتال تا اینترگرانولار است. کانی‌های اصلی جریان شامل درشت‌بلورهای الیوین و کلینو پیروکسن همراه با میکرولیت‌های پلاژیوکلاز هستند. میکرولیت‌های پلاژیوکلاز به عنوان کانی اصلی این سنگ‌ها شناخته می‌شوند. با پردازش تصاویر مقاطع نازک و با استفاده از روش پراکندگی اندازه بلور (CSD)، شکل سه‌بعدی بلورهای پلاژیوکلاز و همچنین زمان رشد و سرعت هسته‌بندی این بلورها برآورد شد. بر این اساس شکل میکرولیت‌های پلاژیوکلاز، تخته‌ای و نسبت محورهای کوتاه: متوسط: بلند به ترتیب برابر با 10:10:1 مشخص شد. یکنواختی نمودار CSD و شیب ثابت آن تأثیر بسیار کم فرایند‌‌های فیزیکی همچون آمیختگی ماگمایی را در هنگام صعود ماگمای بازالتی و رسیدن آن به سطح زمین نشان می‌دهد. بر اساس این محاسبات، زمان رشد (t) و سرعت هسته‌بندی (J)از دو مدل متفاوت ارائه شده در روشCSDبه ترتیب برابر با 53/2 تا 21/3 سال و 1- /s 3-  mm9-10 × 17/10 تا 1- /s 3-mm  9-10 × 53/9 برآورد شد. نتایج حاصل با طبیعت ماگماهای آلکالی بازالتی همخوانی کامل دارد.
