چکیده

کانسارهای آهن شمال سمنان در جنوب زون ساختاری البرز مرکزی واقع شده‌اند. از نظر چینه‌شناسی، برونزدهای پالئوزوییک تا کواترنر در این منطقه مشاهده می‌شوند. گسل‌های سمنان، درجزین، عطاری و دیکتاش منطقه را متأثر ساخته‌اند. در شمال سمنان، توده‌ای گرانیتوییدی با ترکیب حد واسط تا اسیدی و ماهیت کلسیمی- قلیایی و متاآلومین، که ویژگی‌های گرانیت‌های نوع I را نشان می‌دهد، در سنگ‌های آتشفشانی- آذرآواری ائوسن نفوذ کرده،  به گونه‌ای که در محل تماس توده با این سنگ‌ها، اسکارن‌زایی و کانه‌زایی آهن رخ داده است. کانی‌شناسی کانسارها به طور عمده به صورت مگنتیت، همراه با هماتیت، اولیژیست، پیریت، کالکوپیریت، گارنت، پیروکسن و اپیدوت است. مادة معدنی به شکل توده‌ای، عدسی و رگه‌ای بوده و بافت آن پراکنده، برشی، رگه‌- رگچه‌ای و توده‌ای است. دگرسانی‌های پروپیلیتی، آرژیلی، سیلیسی، سریسیتی، کلریتی و پیریتی، به ترتیب بیشترین گسترش را در منطقه دارند. ویژگی‌های توده نفوذی منطقه، هماهنگی بسیار جالبی را با توده‌های نفوذی مولد اسکارن آهن نشان می‌دهند. بر اساس تغییر پارامترهای محاسبه شده برای عناصر REE، سیالات گرمابی مؤثر در کانه‌زایی، حائز منشأ ماگمایی بوده و تودة نفوذی در تأمین مواد معدنی تشکیل‌دهنده اسکارن، سهم عمده را بر عهده داشته است. به موازات تزریق، جایگیری و تبلور توده نفوذی، حجم قابل‌توجهی سیال آهن‌دار، از راه  نفوذ در سنگ‌های آتشفشانی- آذرآواری ، باعث متاسوماتیسم قلیایی و نهشته‌ شدن کانسارهای آهن شمال سمنان شده که دارای تشابه زیادی با کانسارهای اسکارن آهن کلسیک است.
